Paperwork, by Darren Lester

(F.F.F. Website Story)

Guy didn’t want the job.

“Oh, no,” he said. “All the sorting and organising and paperwork is certainly not my forte.”

And so it fell to Max.

Max didn’t mind so much. He was good at organisation, and he desperately needed the money.

What he didn’t need was Guy’s interference.

“Heard there’s a new account,” Guy mentioned, strutting past Max’s desk. “Here’s the paperwork for it.”

The pile of papers was dropped.

Again.

And again.

And again.

“And the Employee of the Month award goes to Guy!” the Boss announced, to the cheers of the staff.

Drowning out Max’s screams.
