A Bear in the Woods, by Bobby Warner

Tillotson saw it last week in Jeffrey’s Woods; an impossible sight. And he saw it each night since, in nightmares.

He couldn’t tell anyone; no one would believe him. But he could return to the woods and photograph the thing. That should be proof enough.

Tillotson walked into the woods, and it was still there in the clearing. He raised the camera, and the huge bear turned and charged. Dropping the camera, he aimed the rifle. He stared into his own face sitting atop the monster’s body, and he couldn’t fire as the bear reached out for him ….
